Melbourne's Dormir have entirely come about through necessity. Both members (Morgan Wright, Harry Maslen) have struck up an involved coalition through a mutual need to create and navigate different musical influences together.

The group’s first cassette for Burning Rose Records is an evocative trip through broader electronics, playfully experimenting with elements of IDM, techno and synth pop.

Their North Melbourne studio is where their experiences and influences are turned into introverted anthems. The studio looks more like a closet than a workspace, with ballet dancers practicing routines in rooms above. This space is an underlying cause for the insularity of their music.

Dormir are anything but a new group, as they have worked obsessively for months, and are now ready to haunt the streets and dancefloors of the world.
